I can’t speak from the American point of view, from where I’m sitting on the Canadian side of the fence, election day in the US is incredibly stressful. The coverage of today’s midterms have been nauseating, to say the least, but the impact to the world, especially to those who share the hemisphere, can be devastating.
We’ve already seen what the last couple of years have looked like, both economically and geo-politically, so the thought of a Democratic congress reining in the worst of Trump’s impulses for the remainder of his time in office is a comforting balm for us.
I can’t speak for you folks down south, but based on approval polls, seems like we’re all in the same opinion boat.
I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but if you’re lucky enough to have a voice in this election, please use it. Your vote affects more than you, your town, your state or your country.
It affects all of us, and we’re counting on you.
And if that shared responsibility isn’t enough to sway you, then look at gas prices. Very pricey. Wouldn’t you rather pay less at the pump?
Go vote.
