Too Much Nerd

I haven’t done a media dump in quite a while, but seeing that now is the time to be a fantasy/sci-fi dork, I thought I’d run through what I’m currently obsessing over.

Wheel of Time: A Memory of Light

20-odd years later, and we finally saw the end of Robert Jordan’s series. I found the last book to be impossible to put down and while the ending isn’t going to satisfy everyone, it was en ending.

I’ll take it, knowing it’s only a matter of time before Jordan’s estate opens the WoT universe to other authors (past Sanderson) to play in and expand.

Game of Thrones Season 3

We’re only a few weeks away from the premiere, and Ciaran Hinds is joining the cast. I’ll be there. Yes I will.

Spartacus: War of The Damned

I’ve been a sucker for this series from the very beginning. Though I’m disappointed this is the last season, it’s nice to know they’re going out in a big way. It’ll be interesting to see how closely they adhere to history, and how much more fiction they inject into it.

Walking Dead

Republican or Democrat, I think we can all agree that the 2nd season of this series (AKA. Let’s all go to the farm!) sucked giant zombie balls. This season, however?

Every single episode has been what I’d been hoping for.

Too bad they’re changing showrunners again for next season, but for the rest of this one, I’ll be enjoying it.

Warm Bodies

I took my wife to see this on Saturday (convincing her it was a romantic teen comedy) and it was something I wasn’t expecting: a unique take on the Zombie genre. That’s enough for you to want to see it.

A Good Day To Die Hard

Shite blew up. I was entertained. What else was I hoping for?

Archer

Easily my favorite animated show of the last decade.

That’s all I got for now, do share your thoughts in the comments and let me know if I missed anything great.
