You’ll notice the tweaks on the site continue.
The big remaining items are the archive page, as well as the RSS feed (which apparently people still use). Those are going to take a little more time, as apparently we’ve been using a plugin from 1973 (approximately) and it needs to be replaced. Sounds like witchcraft to me, but I’ve been assured that with a little eye of newt, we’ll be where we need to be.
That said, I’m almost completely satisfied with the front page now, with the red LICD logo, and the better background image that Lar put together. Still debating whether to use that image on the comic page, keep the pattern or do another LICD-related image.
One other thing to mention, is that yes, advertising will be coming back. We do need a little monetization on this here website, and unfortunately, ads are still a reliable way to do it. Lar needs to eat.
I would consider going ad-free if we went full on patreon, but not convinced of what we can offer to make that really work.
Time will tell, I’m talking to several ad companies now, and I’ll let you folks know what we do.
