TITLE BOX
In the title box, RAYNE and DAD are at the grocery store, looking at the parking lot where they’re selling Christmas trees.
NEXT PANEL, RAYNE has a thought, DAD shrugs.
RAYNE
Seems like we might regret cutting down all these trees one day.
DAD
It’s cool.
DAD
We have the Amazon.
NEXT ROW
INSIDE – LIVING ROOM. RAYNE walks in as DAD is reading.
RAYNE
I need 100 knives.
MOM
Go on.
RAYNE explains.
RAYNE
We’re collecting goods and food for homeless people at school for the holidays.
MOM
That’s a nice thing.
DAD makes a suggestion, that RAYNE scoffs at.
MOM
But you don’t think spoons would be more helpful?
RAYNE
Seriously?
RAYNE can’t believe DAD is being serious, DAD goes back to reading.
RAYNE
You can’t defend your territory with a spoon, dad.
MOM
I’ll get you some canned peas.
