TITLE BOX
In the title box, RAYNE is on top of a dresser with BABY, looking down at his bed below, across the room and below.
RAYNE
I can make it.
NEXT ROW
INSIDE – BASEMENT. Cut to a few minutes later, with RAYNE lying on his bed, with a bleeding leg, and DAD working on it to bandage it.
RAYNE
I didn’t make it.
DAD
I see.
RAYNE is more annoyed than anything else.
RAYNE
Do we have to go to the hospital?
DAD
I don’t think so.
DAD
Your wound will close on it’s own.
DAD explains.
RAYNE
How?
DAD
Your body will send platelets to the area, mixing with the plasma, it will form a clot.
DAD
And underneath it, you’ll grow new skin.
RAYNE’s eyes go wide. DAD stops himself.
RAYNE
My human body is amazing.
DAD
All human bodies-
DAD nods.
DAD
Actually, yeah.
DAD
Yours is the only one that does that.
RAYNE
I’m Wolverine.
