TITLE BOX
In the title box, RAYNE walks up to DAD, who puts down his newspaper to explain.
RAYNE

NEXT ROW
INSIDE – KITCHEN.
DAD
The words themselves aren’t bad.
DAD
It’s the intent behind them that is.
RAYNE
What’s ‘intent’?
DAD Explains.
DAD
For example;
DAD
My ass hurts.
RAYNE
You should see someone about that.
DAD keeps explaining.
DAD
That’s not the most polite word to use, but the intent isn’t bad.
DAD
What if I said-
DAD
You’re an ass.
RAYNE
I would say-
RAYNE calls out.
RAYNE
MOM!
RAYNE
DAD SAID I WAS AN ASSS.
MOM comes storming in, as DAD tips his hat to RAYNE.
DAD
Well played.
RAYNE
My intent wasn’t pure.
