A lot of Phlegm
This week started off with so much hope and promise, yet ended with me fighting off strep throat that my children were kind enough to bring into the house. Not convinced I’ve won that war yet, but I’m upright at the moment, so I’ll take the victories where I can.
However, a bright spot this week was that The Magicians came back for season 3 on Scifi (I refuse to spell it the other way), and 2 episodes in, I’m reminded again how much I love that show.
I’m sure it was sold to network execs as Harry Potter goes to College, but it’s so much more than that, and has one of the strongest cast ensembles I’ve ever seen on the tube. Everyone on that show, even one-off or minor recurring characters brings so much to their role. It’s character driven fantasy done right, and I highly recommend it.
And while I have your rapt attention, this trailer caught my eye the other day and I can’t stop watching it. It’s simply one of the most beautiful uses of rotoscoping and animation I’ve ever seen-
I trust you all will enjoy your weekend, or at least pretend to on social media.
Have a good one, and I’ll see you back here on Monday.

“I’m not a comedian. And I’m not sick. The world is sick, and I’m the doctor. I’m a surgeon with a scalpel for false values.”
