In the Title Box, Mom and Dad are sleeping in the middle of the night, when Rayne walks in, dressed as the Terminator.
Rayne: Come with me if you want to live.
Next panel, Rayne is more urgent.
Rayne: Seriously.
Rayne: The cat’s gone crazy.
NEXT ROW
Mom is sending Rayne to school, as she gets him ready to leave.
Mom: Have a good day.
An unhappy looking Rayne walks into the kitchen, where Dad is reading the newspaper.
Rayne: Why do some people spend so much of their time telling other people what to do?
Dad: It’s the way of the world, unfortunately.
Dad gets philosophical.
Dad: How to dress, what to study, who to marry, where to work, what to believe in…
Dad: It’s your life, but everyone knows better than you how to live it.
Rayne looks at him funny.
Dad: Hopefully in your lifetime, you’ll see social change.
Dad: Real social change, when a single voice, stands up against the noise and says ‘No’.
Dad figures out what Rayne was talking about. Rayne walks out, shooting dad a weird look.
Dad: You were talking about your mother telling you to clean your room.
Rayne: Bring it down a notch, Play-doh.
