In the Title Box, Dad walks in to Rayne’s room about to reprimand Rayne and stops in his tracks. Dad: Rayne, Stop- Next panel, we see Dad staring at Rayne’s room, that is filled with a bunch of LEGO versions of Rayne, all in different positions, doing different things. The real Rayne is in there as well. Dad backs out of the room slowly. NEXT ROW In his basement, Rayne is playing with GI Joes. Rayne: Imagine if these toys represented real people somewhere? Rayne makes them fight. Rayne: What I do to them here, affects their actions somewhere else. Rayne smiles to himself. Rayne: How cool would that be? Rayne keeps the thought going. Rayne: I think I’m playing a game, sure, but I’m actually fighting an intergalactic space war. Pull out to show a young Orson Scott Card playing with toys right next to Rayne. Rayne grimaces at him. Orson: I don’t much care for gay people. Rayne: They don’t much care for you, Orson.
