Larchive Friday – Pets Don’t Need To Keep Social Distance
Well, here we are. Sitting at home. Alone. Our only friends are a hot cup of coffee. Well, and all of the people we live with, but they’re keeping three arms lengths from us, like the ghost of an arm is keeping our arms an arm’s length apart. We year for the days of human contact when we can braid each other’s hair, thumb wrestle, and group shower. Is there no living thing willing to show its affection through physical contact anymore?
And then you feel it. A fuzzy nuzzle on your leg. A boop to your palm to set it in optimal petting position. Our pets are here for us, and now we can be there for them by immortalizing them in art that portrays them as the heroes they are.
Covid-19 isnt’ the only issue we face, so Lar and his wife are once again raising money for the MS Society of Canada. In exchange for a $40 donation, Lar creates custom avatars based on the month’s theme. March’s theme is Adventure Animals!
Here’s what you do:
- Go to tinyurl.com/mscure2020 now and make your donation of $40 (or more!)
- Send your donation confirmation along with a photo to (mailto:[email protected]) (Want more than one person? A group? A family? Just donate PER face)
- Send Lar a picture of your pet (or other animal you admire) and a description of the type of fantasy hero or creature you see them as. Include a physical description of the character, their clothes, and their iconic accessories. Include reference images if you have them.
- Sit back and wait in gleeful anticipation for Lar to send you the art by the end of the month!
Thanks in advance! Together we can cure MS!
