TITLE BOX
In the title box, Outside in the snow and in his snowsuit, RAYNE is putting in the nose on his snowman, looking angry.
RAYNE
Someone keeps eating the carrot noses.
NEXT PANEL, we see that the nose he's making is out of EX-LAX.
RAYNE
So I'm replacing it with a laxative.
NEXT ROW
KITCHEN. MOM is cleaning in the kitchen, when RAYNE walks in for a snack.
MOM
Did you practice for your spelling test tomorrow?
RAYNE
Sure didn't.
MOM glances at him, curiously. RAYNE rummages in the fridge for food.
MOM
Why is that?
RAYNE takes out a carton of lemonade from the fridge, and looks thoughtful.
RAYNE
I feel like we're on the cusp of an age where computers will fix my spelling for me;
RAYNE
Followed by an age where we intentionally spell things incorrectly and use acronyms to save time.
RAYNE drinks right out of the carton.
MOM gestures to his room, chuckling while she does. RAYNE storms off.
MOM
Go practice for your test.
RAYNE
One day, I'll be the one laughing out loud.
