Win Some…

Our Kickstarter for Con Season concluded this week, and unfortunately, we fell short of where we needed to be. I did want to thank everyone who backed the project as we greatly appreciate your support.

In business, as in life, you can’t win ‘em all. Hell, I don’t even think you’re supposed to. You’ll always learn more from failure then you will from success and I’ve reached a point in my life, and career, where I’m okay with that fact.

That’s the joy of Kickstarter, of trying new things. We put it out there, see if it works and react accordingly.

That said, I still believe in Con Season as a series. So we take a step back, regroup and we try again. We figure out what went wrong, how to do it better and how to get you on board.

We try again. We always try again.

Here We Go

Another over-hyped New Year’s Eve leads into another year. And I’ve got to tell you, 2013 is going to be something special.

Aside from the incoming additions to my family, there are some crazy things happening in my professional life including the LICD Pilot, the 10th year of LICD and plenty of other exciting projects.

2013’s going to be a good one.

Love and laughter, folks, that’s what I wish for each of you.

A Year in Review

2012 has been one helluva a year, both personally and professionally.

If I were better at math, I’d be trying to calculate the distances the BFE family logged as we criss crossed the world over 13 conventions (and another two just for me personally plus a number of trips for Sohmer related to BFE projects like LICD:TAS, the Bear and…. well, I’m still not allowed to say 😉

Books were published, starters were Kicked, comics were uploaded and posts were blogged. My google image search history has ranged across personal pleasure items to midgets in medieval gear. A highlight through it all were streams that were ‘U’ed.

Tonight will likely be the final Ustream for 2012 and I cherish this time connecting with you. It’s just so relaxing for me to be able to hang out and just draw, drink and chat. A reminder just how good my life is and a chance for me to say “thank you”.

As usual, the stream starts around 8pm with the Mod Pod guarding us from the evil threat of spammers and their ilk. Silly music and kittycam will begin shortly before then. I hope you’ll find some time to drop by.
